About

Hi,

Welcome to my Blog. My posts are related to various topics and open problems in Algorithm Design, Computational Complexity, Circuit Complexity, Communication Complexity, Cryptography, Algorithmic Game Theory, Polyhedral Combinatorics, Hardness of Approximation, Approximation Algorithms, Structural Graph Theory, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, High-Performance Computing, Compiler Design and Large-Scale Graph Algorithms.

The title of my blog is inspired by a famous quote of Paul Erdos. He often showed up at his colleagues’ doorsteps at odd hours (say 3 a.m) saying “My Brain is Open” (i.e., he was ready to start working on math problems).

  1. He also said “All you need is your brain is open”. The man who pioneered the probabilistic method and so many other mathematical theories couldn’t have made it seem simpler. !

  2. Wao, what an inspiration for writing a blog.
I would like you to recommend relevant books and materials for a person like me who wants to learn Algorithms without a teacher and a foundation in computer science.
Thanks in anticipation of a favourable response.
